Shabbat Shalom!

24 August

It's Saturday morning, but I had to share this story and some of the events that happened last night.

My dear Nana had come up to our house, and my Dad had to take out garbage can down to our dumpster that is at my Dad's work. Nana and Mom went out to the garden, and I stayed in the house watching my cookies and the babies when Dad called. He told my to go outside and look towards the North. There, directly North from where I stood, was a huge wall of dust. I couldn't see past it at all. All along the  North side of the town below us was this huge wall of dust.
But the wind wasn't blowing at all.
I told Mom, who immediately started to look up on her phone fires in the area. At that moment the wind started, blowing directly toward us. Things started blowing around, so we went inside and watched everything.
I was standing at the window, looking towards our shop and chicken coop when the roof of the shop began to blow off. Literally, the roof of the shop! Shocked, we watched, helpless, as a panel of roofing began to blow away.
Then it started to hail. Big hail, too, not just the little dinky stuff.
And then it stopped. The sun came out, the wind calmed down, and we could barely see where the dust had been.
Unfortunately, the interstate was closed last night due to flooding, and only the east side is opened right now. We're hoping and praying that the west bound road will open up very quickly so that we can get to our Shabbat fellowship right on time. We hope you're praying just as we are!

Have a wonderful Shabbat!

When did you post on Shabbat? Either I woke up really late, or you snuck away while we were there. Which one? Just wondering... :)
