Hi, I'm Emma

Violinst.
Aspiring writer and artist.

Lover of music.

I'm Emma, and I hope you enjoy your visit!

In Spring of 2013, I had an idea.

I was thirteen years old. My brother Joshua was 12. I was just starting my teen years, was taking both piano and violin lessons at the time, and busy with school, my music, and living an innocent, worry and care free life.

I have always loved to write. I remember my first book that I ever wrote, titled the Invisible Monkey written when I was probably six or seven, and then several other books later that were longer with chapters, one about at girl who learns to play the violin and another a holocaust story, written when I was a little older in which every single character dies. I've started to re-write it in my free time recently, amongst several other works of fiction.

More recently than my first works of fiction I started to write articles about why I believe what I believe. My very first article was written when I was twelve for a friends blog about modesty. It was shortly after that the blog 5 Kids and a Little Sister was born.  The name changed once, when my mother gave birth to my little sister Sadie, and we changed the name to 6 Kids and a Little Sister. Then after the birth of our newest addition to the family, Ethan, the blog has taken a new different turn under the name that you see at the top of the blog... Unfading Light.

Unfading Light is dedicated to showing the unfading  love of our Father.
Each of us has been created and loved by a God so powerful and mighty that I can't even begin to describe the magnitude of His greatness. The fact that God, the Ruler and King over the entire universe sees our hearts, as sin-filled and broken as they may be, and still He lets us live is astounding to me.

He is a RESCUER of those who are drowning in many waters, He whispers TRUTH into the hearts of those who are questioning and doubting, and He CALMS the spirits of the weak and weary, the ones who are balancing between falling or soaring.

How great is the incomprehensible and overwhelming love of God!

The journey of our lives is long and difficult, but it is also filled with great triumph and victory and overcoming and hope.
Find joy in the mundane things of life.
Find peace in the chaos of your soul.
We're all in this together.
