Work day

19 July

Yep, you said it. Friday is usually the day that we work all day to get our house ready for Shabbat. This week, we're going to be having fellowship at our house here in Silt. So far that we've heard, nothing happened to Israel yesterday. But continue to pray because we're still in that season. We had something interesting happen to us yesterday. Here's the story.

Mom wanted to go to Grand Junction for a while. She wanted to go to Goodwill, the farmers market on main street, and our favorite restaurant, a Brewery called Suds Brothers. It has the yummiest home made root beer ever! So we went to all the places Mom wanted to go, and then we went in to Suds Brothers to eat. Half way through dinner, the news came on. There had been a mud slide at Palisade west of Glenwood. We were trapped in Grand Junction! But we blew it off and left to go to Sears to buy a new water filter for our fridge.

When Mom checked the news again, it was still closed. It was dark and rainy and there was lightening and thunder every where, so we couldn't go walk around at the farmers market, and our friends were sick, so we couldn't go crash at their house. We decided to just try to go home, but they made us get off the interstate. So Dad decided that we would drive up to Delta and then over Grand Mesa. We would come out at Debeque, and then it would be another half hour home. But we found out that the road to Delta was closed because of some flooding.

We still own our house in Fruita. We're trying to sell it, but it hasn't sold yet. I think it was good that our house wasn't sold yet, because other wise we would have had to get a hotel, and because our family is so big, we would need to get two. That would be $400! And it was good also because half way through the night, I-70 opened. We could go home, and that's what we did. Although, I'm pretty sure that if we had payed 400 dollars, we would stay in the hotel and come home today. :)

So, today we're going to work. Thanks for reading!
