Yom Kippur update
18 SeptemberIt's now Wednesday the 18th of September. Yesterday was Yom Kippur for us, because we're following the moon in Israel. We went to our good friends the Jones' house, did worship, prayer, and bible study, then broke the fast with sandwiches. I think that turkey and cheese sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I had had, probably because I was so hungry. Sorry I didn't get any pictures. I really wanted to, but it kind of just slipped my mind, and nobody else even had their camera or the camera on their phone out. We all wore white, because of the verse in Isaiah that says, 'though your sins are like scarlet, they shall become whiter than snow.' We fasted to afflict ourselves, asked forgiveness, prayed, worshiped, ect. We'll be starting Sukkot at our house this Sunday, but everyone is going to set up their tents on Friday because we don't want to set up on the Shabbat days. We'll end the following Monday. I'm almost positive that we'll have pictures for Sukkot, as we always do, so I'll try to get those on the computer and post them.
Remember that Simchat Torah is coming up, also. Then we don't have any more biblical holidays until next spring. Keep praying!
