Loved

24 August

I think that one of the hardest things for us to believe is what God says about us.

God believes and says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

He says that you are beautiful.

He says that He loved you, that He knew you before you were born, and He sent His son to die for you, that you might have forgiveness of sins and that you may have life, eternal life and true peace that only He can give.

His love for you is unconditional and will never fade away.

But because of our own sin, we are ashamed to believe what He says about us.

Ashamed and unwilling to accept His love and believe that He knew what He was doing when He created you.

So, you hide your face so that He can't see you, see your sin and the shame that you feel over what you've done.

Because like Adam and Eve, who hid in the garden after they went against their good and loving God were ashamed, so you are ashamed over what you've done. And you just want to crawl in a hole and hide because you can't bear to face yourself or God.

And you know what?

It breaks His heart to see you, His beloved and wonderful creation, hiding from Him because after what you've done we can't imagine Him loving you.

But that hurts God.

That hurts Him because you are His masterpiece, and intricately detailed and beautiful work of art, and it hits God deeply to see you picking yourself apart.

Because He loved you and He created you.

God doesn't make junk.

And even if He did, He would still love you and call you His own and call you His beloved child.

So start believing what He says about you, not what you think about yourself or what the enemy thinks.

"I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are you works, and my soul knows it very well."
