Joy
04 JuneJoy. Joy is a feeling. It's happy. It's gentle. Joy is something that everyone should have.
Joy is an action. It's kind. It's playful. Joy is something that everyone has felt in their life.
Joy is beautiful. It's loving. It's always there, even if you don't feel like it is. It's there when you wake up and when you go to sleep. It's with you all day, even if you don't feel joyful, because we have the joy of knowing Yeshua and of following his commandments.
Joy was my cat. Joy was a gentle kitten, almost a year old, and as sweet as any cat could ever be. She never nipped at you or scratched you and she always came when you called her name. She would sit in your lap and purr the hours away, as content as can be, and she would even let you hold her like a baby and she wouldn't care a bit. She was playful, beautiful, gentle, and yes, joyful. She was born a mouse hunter, and how she could hunt! Smart and agile, she rarely let a mouse escape her and always had it waiting for me in the morning when I came to take care of her. Joy was a kitten, small and wonderful. And Joy, the feeling, the action, everything that it is, is always with us, no matter what.
This post is dedicated to my sweet kitten, Joy, who died in her sleep peacefully this morning, June 4, 2014.
