Happy Birthday Elianah!
27 JulyYesterday, on July 26, 2014, my younger sister Elianah turned seven! Time passes by so fast! Her birthday presents were a Life-Factory water bottle and some really fun pop beads. Yesterday was Shabbat, so we didn't cook anything. We ate yogurt with frozen fruit (yum...), but Elianah wanted pancakes for her birthday, so we made that today for her.
Yesterday was a very peaceful Shabbat for our family. We read the Torah portion at our fellowship and had some really good discussion. After Torah we had about an hour and fifteen minutes of prayer, generally for Israel but also for other peoples needs. Apparently the cease fire ended yesterday, and we haven't heard anything else about it. Pray for them, please. Tisha B'Av is on August 6, and it's a day of fasting for the Jews. We need to be in a constant state of prayer for Israel anyway, but especially on Tisha B'Av. The first and second Temples were both destroyed on that day.
Go read Zechariah. Go read Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, all the prophets. It's important that we know what's going on right now and what will happen in the future. Pray that Yahweh will show you what to do, and support Israel in anyway you can. It's so important right now.
Thanks for reading today!
Shalom,
Emma

Happy birthday, Elianah! I hope you had a fun day! Yes, reading the prophets is a very good idea.
ReplyDeleteTell everyone hello for me!
Happy Birthday! I said it a million times before, but I just REALLY wanted to say it again... It makes me smile! FYI, I figured out why I couldn't accept your invite... I don't have a Google account! Anyway, TTYL!
